Angie Smith
Loan Officer
With a journey beginning as a bank branch manager offering retail loans, Angie found her calling 19 years ago when she transitioned in the role of a Loan Officer. Recognizing her desire to help people and that this was a position she could accomplish that goal in, she has thrived helping her clients find their dream homes, walking with them as they start their families, and many times, assisted them in utilizing the equity of their homes through refinancing. She feels personal joy seeing the excitement on the face of first-time homebuyers at the closing table and knowing that she was a part of that special memory for them.
Throughout her career thus far, Angie has closed nearly $450 million of mortgage loans with happy homebuyers. She boasts a VA Lender Certification from National Association of Mortgage Brokers, as well as previously being recognized as a Valued Lending Partner for four consecutive years.
While she specializes in first-time homebuyers, VA, and USDA loans, Angie is a skilled mortgage lender that focuses solely on finding the loan that fits each client’s needs. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration on Accounting, which launched her career in the financial industry while simultaneously providing her with the knowledge to grow and thrive in the mortgage industry. This is why her clients find value working with her: she is approachable, thoughtful, dedicated, and thorough in the process.
When she is not assisting customers with their mortgage needs, Angie is most proud of beginning and continuing to facilitate a growing weekly bible study at her church. She also can be found working in her community as a member of the Chamber of Commerce, United Way, and volunteers her time to many local and national other organizations. She loves to spend time with husband and her two boys, who are her world. They enjoy traveling to explore battlefields and other historical places. In her alone time, Angie enjoys scrapbooking, photography, shopping, and talking to her husky, Winter.
