Heather Obbey Awarded Q1 2021 GoPrime Personality!

At GoPrime, we have an amazing way of honoring our employees. Each month, we award a team member that goes above and beyond daily with the GoPrime Personality Quarterly Award. This month, we selected Heather Obbey, one of our fantastic Closers, to receive this award. Heather is an excellent Closer within our company and has been with GoPrime for nearly seven years. We are so thankful to have team members like her!

As a part of her recognition, she was awarded $500 to donate to a charity of her choice. There are so many reasons why we nominated her, but Executive Vice President Gabrielle Zika said it best: “I would like to express how appreciative I am of Heather Obbey and her hard work and endless hours of service dedicated to GoPrime Mortgage. I so appreciate Heather’s positive attitude and her ability to motivate her team members. She is exemplary with all tasks assigned and consistently contributes to the Closing/Funding Team Goals. Heather’s devotion towards work is inspiring for others. I am very pleased to have Heather as part of the Closing Team. She deserves high praise for always giving GoPrime her best.”

She decided to donate her award to the SPCA of Wake County. She adopted both of her dogs from there and loves what they do for the animals in the community. They are a no-kill shelter and pull animals from high-kill shelters to save them from being euthanized. They also provide medical care for injured and neglected pets and help them find their forever homes. She is passionate about animal welfare and knows that through this donation, many lives will be changed for the better.

We are so lucky to have team members that shine as bright as her thank you for your dedication and hard work, Heather!

She has such a gentle spirit and voice. Never seems to get her feathers ruffled or certainly doesn’t show it. She is just a true pleasure to work with.

Tell me about your job?
Heather: I am a Mortgage Loan Closer. I send the initial closing disclosure to the borrowers and QC files to get them ready to close. I love being a part of the home buying process. It really is more than just a job to me. It makes me feel good every time I close a loan knowing that we are making someone’s dreams come true.

What things do you enjoy doing outside of Mortgage Industry?
Heather: Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family. This past year has definitely been tough. We haven’t been able to do the things that we normally would do, but we have spent a lot of quality time together which has been amazing. We’ve gone for many long walks and have taken more time to enjoy and appreciate nature and the outdoors. I am truly grateful for every memory.  

What do you like most about GoPrime?
Heather: I really can’t say enough good things about GoPrime. It’s such a great company to work for. I love that the GoPrime family really is like family. It’s a company that makes you feel appreciated. I really do work with some awesome people.
